At Royal Poodle Rescue, the well-being of every Poodle in our care is our highest priority. We provide transparent and comprehensive health protocols to ensure every dog is placed on a foundation of good health. Please read the following guarantee and policies carefully.

Our Pre-Adoption Health Protocol

Every Poodle receives the following care before joining your family:

Comprehensive Veterinary Examination

A full "nose-to-tail" check-up by a licensed veterinarian.

Age-Appropriate Vaccinations

Including DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus) and Rabies.

Spay/Neuter

All dogs are spayed or neutered before adoption unless a specific medical reason prevents it, as determined by our veterinarian.

Microchipping

Each Poodle is microchipped for permanent identification, and we will guide you through the process of updating the registration to your name.

Deworming & Parasite Prevention:

Treated for common intestinal parasites and started on a heartworm and flea preventative.

Professional Grooming

Including a bath, haircut, nail trim, and ear cleaning. Our Health Guarantee

Our Health Guarantee

This guarantee is valid for 30 calendar days from the date of adoption

1. Covered Conditions: f the adopted dog is diagnosed with a life-threatening, congenital, or hereditary condition within the 30-day guarantee period, Royal Poodle Rescue will, at its sole discretion:

  • Provide financial assistance towards treatment costs, up to the amount of the adoption fee. OR Accept the return of the dog and provide a full refund of the adoption fee.

2. Prompt Action Required: You must notify Royal Poodle Rescue within 24 hours of the diagnosis and provide written documentation from a licensed veterinarian. A copy of the veterinary report must be emailed to us for review.

3. Return for Refund: If for any reason you decide the dog is not a good fit for your family within the 30-day trial period, you may return the dog for a full refund of the adoption fee. This policy is in place to ensure every dog is in a home where they are truly loved and wanted.

Important Limitations & Responsibilities 

This health guarantee is a testament to our commitment, but it is not a substitute for pet insurance or lifelong veterinary care.

Pre-Existing Conditions: This guarantee does not cover conditions known to you at the time of adoption or those listed in the dog’s medical records provided to you.
Illnesses Post-Adoption: The guarantee does not cover common illnesses that may be contracted after adoption, such as kennel cough, parasites, or upper respiratory infections, as these are often environmentally acquired. We treat all dogs in our care, but the stress of transition can sometimes compromise a dog’s immune system.
Routine & Ongoing Care: The adopter is solely responsible for all routine and ongoing veterinary care, including but not limited to booster vaccinations, annual check-ups, dental care, grooming, and preventative medications, beginning immediately after adoption.
The 72-Hour Veterinary Exam:  To activate this guarantee, you must take your new Poodle to a licensed veterinarian of your choice for a wellness check within 72 hours of adoption. This crucial step establishes a relationship with your vet and provides a baseline for your dog’s health.
